The
dream of a lifetime... I remember sitting on the floor
in the livingroom as a little girl listening to music
my mother played on the piano and on the turntable.
She played EVERYTHING...jazz, classical, blues, folk,
bluegrass, hymns, gospel, country... I grew up nurtured
by the likes of Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Sam
Cooke, Dakota Staiton, Patsy Cline, Flatt and Scruggs,
Ralph Stanley, (How many of us New Yorkers were introduced
to bluegrass from the Beverly Hillbillies and Andy
Griffith shows!!! and LOVED it.) Judy Collins, Joni
Mitchell, Wagner, Mozart, the Temptations, Stevie
Wonder, Glen Campbell... go figure??? And now...I
have the sublime pleasure of playing and hangin' with
Danny and Tim Carter. It just doesn't get any better
than this. I'm a lucky girl!!! It is the dream of
my lifetime to one day play at the Ryman Auditorium...and
to perform on Austin City Limits. I just may get there...
